Catalogue of Apparent Diameters and Absolute Radii of Stars (CADARS) - Third edition - Comments and statistics The Catalogue, available at the Centre de Données Stellaires deStrasbourg, consists of 13 573 records concerning the results obtainedfrom different methods for 7778 stars, reported in the literature. Thefollowing data are listed for each star: identifications, apparentmagnitude, spectral type, apparent diameter in arcsec, absolute radiusin solar units, method of determination, reference, remarks. Commentsand statistics obtained from CADARS are given. The Catalogue isavailable in electronic form at the CDS via anonymous ftp tocdsarc.u-strasbg.fr (130.79.128.5) or viahttp://cdsweb.u-strasbg.fr/cgi-bin/qcar?J/A+A/367/521
| The detection of close binary systems in observations of lunar occultations with a 6-m telescope The paper presents the results of photoelectric observations of thelunar occultation of 10 stars which were carried out with the 6-mtelescope of the Special Astrophysical Observatory of the USSR Academyof Sciences. The brightness strip distribution of the occulted source isrestored using a modified regularization method in which a prioriinformation on the nonnegativity of the solution is accounted for. Theupper limits to the angular diameters of eight stars are obtained. For astar with a brightness of 11.07 mag, an angular resolution of 0.0101 isachieved. The following close binary systems were detected: SAO 128720and SAO 110268.
| Cloudcroft occultation summary. III - 1982 Further results are presented from the Cloudcroft occultationobservation program. The 13 events summarized include two involvingstars brighter than seventh magnitude, seven reappearances, and twoangular diameter measurements, one for the M supergiant TV Geminorum.
